Fertility Nurse Required

The Agora Gynaecology and Fertility Centre in Hove offers fertility treatment to both private and NHS funded patients across Sussex. We are looking to recruit an experienced nurse registered with the NMC to join our existing clinical team. Experience of prior working within a fertility, gynaecology or women’s health setting is desirable. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical doctors, clinical scientists, nurses, healthcare assistants and administrative support staff. We are a continuously growing clinic licensed with the HFEA, performing all treatments for infertility from initial consultation through to insemination or embryo transfer. We also offer cryopreservation of gametes and embryos for patients with health conditions that can impact future fertility such as undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for cancer.

The nursing team are responsible for treatment planning and consultation, ultrasound monitoring, working within our small operating theatre and recovery areas, venepuncture, and insemination procedures as well as providing full support to our patients and their partners in this emotionally challenging specialism. It is an extremely interesting and forever evolving role offering excellent career progression opportunities. We offer a complete in-house training programme and encourage and support individual professional development with external conferences and study days to enable all nurses to comply with their revalidation requirements.

Salary banding is dependent upon experience.

Anaesthetic Nurse Required

We are looking to recruit an anaesthetic nurse registered with the NMC to join our existing clinical team. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical doctors, clinical scientists, nurses, healthcare assistants and administrative support staff. We are a continuously growing clinic licensed with the HFEA, performing all treatments for infertility from initial consultation through to insemination or embryo transfer. We also offer cryopreservation of gametes and embryos for patients with health conditions that can impact future fertility such as undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for cancer.

The clinic has a busy surgical list every Monday, Wednesday and Friday specialising in assisted conception treatments. This role is ideal for someone either wanting regular part time hours that perfectly suit childcare responsibilities, or a full-time position is available for someone happy to also work in the fertility side of the clinic, managing our theatre area but learning new skills in fertility nursing. Our anaesthetic nurses and ODPs work on a rotational basis either alongside our anaesthetists providing conscious sedation, as scrub nurse and also in recovery.

Clinical Embryologist Required

The Agora Gynaecology & Fertility Centre near Brighton invites application for an experienced clinical embryologist. The Agora offers a wide range of treatments including IVF, ICSI, IMSI, DI, IUI, egg donation and a cryopreservation programme to both privately and NHS –funded patients and currently runs 550 IVF/ICSI cycles per year. Due to the continued expansion of the clinic we are looking to appoint a HCPC registered embryologist, qualified ICSI/IMSI practitioner to work alongside our existing team of embryologists and technicians.

Applicants should demonstrate a high degree of motivation and attention to detail with excellent technical, interpersonal and communication skills. They must have a good understanding of the HFEA regulations and experience of working with or towards appropriate quality management accreditation within a laboratory setting.

This is a full-time position (40hrs per week) and participation in a weekend, bank holiday and out of hours rota will be required.
